Ceramics

Diving in and getting my hands dirty, literally, I’ve learned that ceramics is an art-making process where the journey matters just as much as the final piece. Over time, I’ve explored a variety of styles, but I’ve really enjoyed working with Raku and its firing process. There’s something exciting about the unpredictability—it keeps me on my toes and makes each piece feel like a discovery.

On this page, you’ll see works like 50 Years Young, a portrait of my grandfather that won a National Scholastic Art Award. Where the Back Meets the Front is another National Award-winning piece that came out of a Raku firing workshop, which taught me to embrace the unexpected. Shattered Leaves is another piece from that process, and it’s one of my favorite experiments.

This collection below is a mix of personal projects and explorations, with each piece teaching me something new about the material and myself.
